Weight Watchers has changed their program. The points listed on my blog for WW points is for the old Momentum program.

I will be updating my recipes for the new Points Plus program. I am going to list the 4 nutrients needed to calculate the Points Plus for the recipe so that you can easily figure the PP per serving.

I am going to leave the old Momentum Points in case anybody is still following that program.

Chicken Cacciatore ~ Taste of Home

1/4 c. flour
4 bone-in chicken breast halves
2 T olive oil
1/4 lb. fresh sliced mushrooms
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
1 garlic clove, minced
14 1/2 oz. diced tomatoes, undrained
3/4 c. frozen pearl onions, thawed
1/2 c. chicken broth
3 T tomato paste
1/2 tsp. dried basil
1/4 tsp. salt, dried oregano and dried thyme
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 bay leaf
1/2 c. whole pitted ripe olives
Hot cooked pasta

Place flour in a large Ziploc bag; add chicken and shake to coat. In a large skillet, brown chicken in oilon both sides. Remove chicken to a greased 9x13: baking dish.

In the same skillet, saute the mushrooms, onion and garlic until tender. Add the tomatoes, pearl onions, broth, tomato paste and seasonings. Cover and bake at 350F for 45-50 min. Add olives; bake 15 min. longer Discard bay leaf and serve over pasta.

YIELD: 4 servings
