Weight Watchers has changed their program. The points listed on my blog for WW points is for the old Momentum program.

I will be updating my recipes for the new Points Plus program. I am going to list the 4 nutrients needed to calculate the Points Plus for the recipe so that you can easily figure the PP per serving.

I am going to leave the old Momentum Points in case anybody is still following that program.

Italian Pepper Steak ~ Taste of Home

1 tsp. Italian seasoning, divided
1/2 tsp. salt, divided
1/2 tsp. pepper,divided
1 lb. boneless beef sirloin steak, trimmed
1 medium sweet red pepper, julienned
1 medium sweet yellow pepper, julienned
1 medium onion, julienned
6 garlic cloves, peeled and thinly sliced
1 T olive oil
14 1/2 oz. can diced tomatoes, drained
1 tsp. balsamic vinegar

In a small bowl, combine 1/2 tsp. Italian seasoning, 1/4 tsp. salt and pepper. Rub over both sides of steak; set aside.

In a large nonstick skillet, saute the peppers, onin and garlic in oil until vegetables are crisp-tender. Stir in the tomatoes and remaining seasonings. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 5 min. Remove from the heat. Stir in vinegar; keep warm.

Place steak on a broiler pan sprayed with oil. Broil 4-6" from heat for 4-8 minutes per side. Let stand 5 minutes before slicing; serve with vegetable mixture.

YIELD: 4 servings
1/4 of beef with 1/4 of peppers = 4 WW points
